Green Pasture-Vol.1

“For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.” Matthew 6:21

Dear Readers,

Our lives these days are so hi-tech, that we turn to technology for everything. For a minute if we do not have phone, Internet and computer we feel we have forgotten to breath. Some how this is how the world is moving on. Every little child knows how to use phone, computer and Internet minute they open their eyes and be stable. This I say is because my son is just 14 months old and he know what is phone. He knows how to unlock and tap on the apps; like wise computer and Internet too.

But as for you, Daniel, conceal these words and seal up the book until the end of time; many will go back and forth, and knowledge will increase.” Daniel 12:4 All this is the fulfilment of the Biblical prophecy.Yes, the world is going in one direction but we the Christian believers are to go into different direction.

Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.” Matthew 7:13&14

Hence, In order to lead our lives in the direction that the Lord want us to go Lord Jesus has given His living words “BIBLE” and with it we have so much of help and support from our servants, shepherds, sons, teachers, fathers, mothers, brothers, friends and family of God to help nurture our lives.

Why not to take advantage of their experiences in their rocky road of spiritual lives. We learn from our mistakes and we learn from others mistakes, this is how we make ourselves. Today we may fall but wise man will stand up and walk again, but wiser will prepare before fall which not to happen. So, lets be wiser.

“Remember now they creator in the days of thy youth….” Ecclesiastes 12:1

This Green Pastures youth magazine will give this opportunity to build in our character to be a better man.This great first issue has dealt in the following heads, which might excite you all:

Proactive and Reactive…..

Day by day our lives sails as it has been,20130527_203527~2 but how we let our lives sail or how we sail makes lots of difference in our lives or future. Future is derived by what we do now. Like some one rightly said, “It is not the destination but the Journey that matters”.

We surely have may things in our lives which engages us in direct or indirect ways. Rather then we being influenced by the situation, why not we influence the situation to cause. For example; every employer would like to have proactive employee rather then reactive, “why the leader must be a proactive rather then reactive?”, reason being if you know then you could lead, but if you don’t know how are you going to? Like wise if you are an employee, if you are proactive you would be prepared for the challenge that would be thrown at your lap and embrace it gladly rather then cussing, swearing and wandering out of bewilderment of the situation one is landed into.

This reminds me the great example from the BIBLE, the proactive God “Jesus” and reactive disciples. Why Jesus is proactive because He knew before the time began and future to come. Disciples are reactive because they are not prepared for the situation to come yet Lord Jesus have taught them everything everyday before all happened yet when all the situation arose they were still at a sock.  “Jesus saith unto her, Said I not unto thee, that, if thou wouldest believe, thou shouldest see the glory of God? John 11:40”. Every leader must have a faith to work with, or to be proactive. Proactive may be defined as research, leave not stone unturned, seek, knock, survey, sweep or may more we could think of.

Now, if we need the answer we must come to the Lord Jesus, who will answer all of our questions and fulfil our needs. And everybody says one thing what about the others? Well, my question today would be, are you proactive or reactive? If you were proactive, you would do what the proactive character would do, look for evidence:

If Jesus was real?

Did Jesus claim to be God and Son of God?

Did he die and rose again?

Did he really went to heaven in the clouds as people were looking at him?

Would you think Bible is a History? If so every History is based upon fact…

Many more questions for your inquisition.

Let this be the day for you to seek the truth and find the truth. As Bible says, “And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free” John 8:32, which is used by everybody in the world.

Lord Jesus Himself said, “For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened” Matthew 7:8

Let this day be the day of turning point to seek the truth, and lets be proactive rather then reactive.

Lets not be surprised when the day of the Lord will come at once, rather lets pray and get ready to go with Him when He comes…..

Praise the Lord and Jaimashiki,

Same sex marriage was in the society, and society would never accept it, because it is never meant to be. Great creator created male and female to procreate and subdue the inhabitation. The society was doing it right. Today when we see Government is making a legal to let this unbelievable sexual immorality, as legally acceptable. This place is not far from Sodom and Gomorra.

Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind,” 1Corin. 6:9

I am gutted to hear and read this news afresh. What is the future of our children? What is the future of our society? What is the future of the world?

Pleasure is keeling every righteousness of human being, and the wrath of God is boiling to be tipped off.

Oh Lord! please stope this government to formulate this sinful act of man and let your power be shown towards their ungodly and treacherous work towards thy nation. Lord you said, authoritarians are of thee and now Lord you may manifest amongst this ungodly people and let you be the judge Oh! Lord Jesus…

The man who cried

Why? Why? Why did he cry? What was the problem? Did he cry because it was hurting him? Did he cry because it was painful? Did he cry because he lost something or someone?Why did he cry?

First cry mentioned in the Bible is in Genesis 21:17 “God heard the boy crying”, why was the boy crying? This situation was so grievous even God couldn’t bare. Lets take few parameters.

  1. Father sent mother and a boy away with a morsel of water, long journey there is no water left.
  2. There is no safety when needed.
  3. There is no food left.
  4. There is no-where to go.
  5. There was no reason in human’s eyes to be kicked out of the house to wilderness
  6. The boy was dying.

And there could be many more reasons why the boy was crying. Here, we could see a boy “Ishmael” is crying. (Why Ishmael was kicked out? He wasn’t a promised son by God. Ishmael was borne out of human idea, like the different ideologies and gods created by men). Yet, God being God did not forsake the dying cry of a child boy. Here we can see, God was merciful from the beginning to mankind.

Yesterday, I saw a man crying. It touched my heart. This man I didn’t know who he was but he was crying something terrible thing happened to him.When I saw this crying man and the situation, I could see the depth of his thought for him to cry.

Today, if you are a father or a mother think this over and over; if you had to leave your sons who are (4 and 7) years old forever. What is the future of these two sons? As a human being this is not fair? However, “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.” Jeremiah 29:11

“For with God nothing shall be impossible.” Luke 1:37

And Lord God goes on saying,

“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD.” Isaiah 55:8

“To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:” Ecclesiastes 3:1

Yes, humanly thinking this is not fair but as per the word of God, as God being God, “As for God, his way is perfect: the word of the LORD is tried: he is a buckler to all those that trust in him.” Psalm 18:30

Hence, “In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.” 1Thessalonians 5:18

As a living and practical person, it is very difficult and impossible to satisfy our mind and heart; however God Himself says, “Trust in the LORD and do good; Dwell in the land and cultivate faithfulness. Delight yourself in the LORD; And He will give you the desires of your heart.” Psalm 37:3&4

If we cry, it is good for our physical and emotional elements of our life. Yet we cry, we must look unto the Lord for everything, because His is all in all. He gives life and takes life. He has the key of our life to eternity Heaven and eternity Hell.

Finally, even though we might feel impossible and unbarring, if we look in the word of God and His promises, it not only comfort us; but our God Jesus the Christ is not only promising God but He is has fulfilled the promises and He will do it in your and my life.

But our challenge for you and I is, are we willing to take on-board? If we are then, Lord Jesus Himself said, “It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.” John 6:63

May the Lord Jesus give us this day to look in our lives and see, are we restraining ourselves from unlashing our potential by blaming God Jesus the Christ for the things that has happened in our lives. Here, let me remind you God said, I have a plan for you to give you life and future, but only if we know what He meant by that. Let us not blame someone or each other but if we take this as “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.” Roman 8:28

Rather then blaming one another, lets “forgive, forget and forward“.

Once an old and wise man said,”All Golds are glitter, but all glitters are not gold”. The bible says, “You shall know them by their fruits” Matthew 7:16

We all say lots of things but have you practiced in order to say that? as some one said, “Practice as you preach” or else you become hypocrite as per Matthew 7:5

Today was a very blessed day one can not deny the fact. Amazingly described the death of the saint which is the entrance to heaven, Psalm 116:15 says, “Precious is the death of the saint in the site of the Lord”

Lord Jesus offered us the way to Heaven if we goto HIM, Jesus said,”I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me” John 3:16

Do you think every Christian will goto heaven? But the Bible says, “As it is appointed for a men to die once after that the judgement” Hebrews 9:27

“For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?” 1Peter 4:17

As all men knows that after judgement, then heaven or hell.

So, ARE YOU READY FOR HIS JUDGEMENT? ARE YOU READY FOR HEAVEN?

My question is, do you love the Lord Jesus Christ? If you Love the Lord then, why do you find so difficult to love your brother?

“If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen?” 1John 4:20

“Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be put away from you, along with all malice. Be kind to one another, tender-hearted, forgiving each other, just as God in Christ also has forgiven you.” Ephesians 4:31&32

Lets get ready for His coming as we know He is coming……….

Because, we all know that Jesus is the only way to Heaven……….

Let me Challenge you today…

Jesus said,

“Behold, I come quickly: blessed is he that keepeth the sayings of the prophecy of this book” .

Revelation 22:7

“And, Behold, I, come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be”. Revelation 22:12

“Surely I come quickly”. Revelation 22:20

These are the last words of our Lord Jesus Christ to all human.

As a Christian, as a believer our responsibility is to keep the word of God not only in our words rather deeds.

Lets be reminded once again that

“As it is appointed for men to die after that the judgement” Hebrew 9:27 . Hence, the way to Heaven or Hell.

Let me point 5 heads that Lord is going to judge us:

1. Thoughts

2. Words

3. Deeds

4. Attitudes

5. Intent of our Hearts

We all know the world is going crazy, this is the trumpet for us to get ready for His coming else, we’ll be left behind.

We don’t want to be left behind do we? Hence, let this be the day for us to repent and turn around to follow our Lord and Saviour Jesus the Christ.

Praise the Lord in the Highest! Psalm 148:1

Let us keep on magnifying our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ; who was, who is and will come to take us to heaven. (Revelation 1:8).

We have sure and certain hope (Hebrews 11:1) in our Lord and Saviour who has given this opportunity to live in this life.

We would like to thank you for your involvement in the process to make Christmas with RUN’s family successful. Everybody were exceptional and did their part. As we know some’ presence was enough; yet some the more then less. Your labour will not be in vain (1Corinthian 15:58).

In coming days we will be doing this more often, sowing the word of God not by words but by our deeds. We would like everyone of you to be prepare, because the days coming are darker. We need light to walk in darkness.  Our dear Father and God will pay us according to our deeds (Roman 2:6)

Hence, let us forget what happened or past but let us move unto perfection for his Glorious Kingdom.

Soon we will see the footage of the very day….

STRATEGIES FOR FIGHTING LUST

The need for warfare against the bombardment of visual temptation to fixate on sexual images is urgent.  When I say “lust” I mean the realm of thought, imagination, and desire that leads to sexual misconduct. So here is one set of strategies in the war against LUST. I put it in the form of an acronym – A N T H E M.

A – AVOID as much as is possible and reasonable the sights and situations that arouse unfitting desire. I say “possible and reasonable” because some exposure to temptation is inevitable. And I say “unfitting desire” because not all desires for sex, food, and family are bad. We know when they are unfitting and unhelpful and on their way to becoming enslaving. We know our weaknesses and what triggers them. “Avoiding” is a Biblical strategy. “Flee youthful passions and pursue righteousness” (2 Timothy 2:22). “Make no provision for the flesh, to gratify its desires” (Romans 13:14).

N – Say NO to every lustful thought within five seconds. And say it with the authority of Jesus Christ. “In the name of Jesus, NO!” You don’t have much more than five seconds. Give it more unopposed time than that, and it will lodge itself with such force as to be almost immovable. Say it out loud if you dare. Be tough and warlike. As John Owen said, “Be killing sin or it will be killing you.” Strike fast and strike hard. “Resist the devil, and he will flee from you” (James 4:7).

T – TURN the mind forcefully toward Christ as a superior satisfaction. Saying “no” will not suffice. You must move from defense to offense. Fight fire with fire. Attack the promises of sin with the promises of Christ. The Bible calls lusts “deceitful desires” (Ephesians 4:22). They lie. They promise more than they can deliver. The Bible calls them “passions of your former ignorance” (1 Peter 1:14). Only fools yield. “All at once he follows her, as an ox goes to the slaughter” (Proverbs 7:22). We must stock our minds with the superior promises and pleasures of Jesus. Then we must turn to them immediately after saying, “NO!”

H – HOLD the promise and the pleasure of Christ firmly in your mind until it pushes the other images out. “Fix your eyes on Jesus” (Hebrews 12:2). Here is where many fail. They give in too soon. They say, “I tried to push it out, and it didn’t work.” I ask, “How long did you try?” How hard did you exert your mind? The mind is a muscle. You can flex it with vehemence. Take the kingdom violently (Matthew 11:12). Be brutal. Hold the promise of Christ before your eyes. Hold it. Hold it! Don’t let it go! Keep holding it! How long? As long as it takes. Fight! For Christ’s sake, fight till you win! If an electric garage door were about to crush your child you would hold it up with all your might and holler for help, and hold it and hold it and hold it and hold it.

E – ENJOY a superior satisfaction. Cultivate the capacities for pleasure in Christ. One reason lust reigns in so many is that Christ has so little appeal. We succumb to lust because we have little delight in Christ. Don’t say, “That’s just not me.” What steps have you taken to waken affection for Jesus? Have you fought for joy? Don’t be fatalistic. You were created to treasure Christ with all your heart — more than you treasure sex or good food. If you have little taste for Jesus, competing pleasures will triumph. Plead with God for the satisfaction you don’t have: “Satisfy us in the morning with your steadfast love, that we may rejoice and be glad all our days” (Psalm 90:14). Then look, look, look at the most wonderful Person in the universe until you see Him the way he is.

M – MOVE into a useful activity away from idleness and other vulnerable behaviors. Lust grows fast in the garden of leisure. Find a good work to do, and do it with all your might. “Do not be slothful in zeal, be fervent in spirit, serve the Lord” (Romans 12:11). “Be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord” (1 Corinthians 15:58). Abound in work. Get up and do something. Sweep a room. Hammer a nail. Write a letter. Fix a faucet. And do it for Jesus’s sake. You were made to manage and create. Christ died to make you “zealous for good works” (Titus 2:14). Displace deceitful lusts with a passion for good deeds.
